Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital

In the midst of constructing a new hospital building, this report to the community focuses on building care, not just a hospital. “It’s what’s inside that counts” was used to demonstrate that it is not about the brick and mortar but about the care within. More than anything, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital is a place for children and families: a place where children can still be children, no matter how sick they are; a place where families are involved members of the treatment team; and a place where doctors have dedicated their careers to healing children. This report captures the empathy provided by Mary Ellen Sullivan’s copy and the client’s compassionate direction.
